Educational objectives |
The course aims to provide students the ability to apply the knowledge acquired during each discipline lectures, such as understanding of the molecular basis of genetic transmission, familiarity with the use of some of the main methods applied in the biological chemistry, ability to relate cellular organization to functional. |

GENETICS: Extraction, amplification and electrophoresis of nucleic acids for the analysis of gene and genomic sequences, and the study of intra- and inter-specific variability for phylogenetic and phylogeographic investigations. BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY: Determination by spectrophotometric method of the protein content of cellular extracts, including the preparation of the calibration curve. ANATOMY: Observation, culture and counting of different types of eukaryotic cells. Extraction and analysis of the contents of bioactive substances contained in cells and other matrices |
